Job summary

Leidos seeks an experienced Principal Solutions Architect to join the I3TS team supporting the DTRA program at Fort Belvoir, VA. You will help drive modernization, design secure, scalable on‑prem and cloud infrastructures, and lead proofs of concept and migrations.

The role requires U.S. citizenship, TS/SCI clearance, and IAT Level II certification. You will collaborate with government and Leidos teams to deliver innovative, cost‑effective solutions with strong cybersecurity and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, MIS, or related STEM field, with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoW TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience designing solutions for secure, scalable on-prem and cloud-based infrastructures.
• Experience planning and executing migrations of applications and services.
• Experience developing and maintaining architecture artifacts and communicating designs to stakeholders.
• Experience evaluating new technologies to improve performance, scalability, security, and cost.
• Experience operating in a DevSecOps environment of comparable size and complexity.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to maintain certification during assignment.

Responsibilities

• Identify service gaps and drive continual innovation within the I3TS portfolio.
• Lead analysis of alternatives and proof-of-concept development for targeted improvements.
• Oversee deployment of narrow 3-month proofs of concept to demonstrate utility.
• Draft detailed project plans with technical approach, cost, schedule, and risk analyses.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders to ensure alignment with vision and requirements.
