Job summary

JCS Solutions LLC in Fort Belvoir, VA, seeks a Principal Solutions Architect to advance the DoD IT modernization program within the I3TS team. The role partners with Leidos and government leadership to identify gaps, analyze alternatives, and drive proofs of concept.

The candidate will lead architectural efforts for secure, scalable, and automated IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments, with a focus on cybersecurity enhancements and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, MIS, or related STEM field.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in solutions architecture and IT infrastructure.
• Experience designing secure, scalable on-premise and cloud infrastructures.
• Experience planning and executing migrations of applications and services.
• Proven ability to communicate designs to executives and technical stakeholders.
• Experience evaluating new technologies to improve performance, scalability, security, and cost.
• Experience operating in a DevSecOps environment of similar size and complexity.
• Must obtain/maintain DoW TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal Solutions Architect in identifying service gaps and driving continual modernization.
• Lead analyses of alternatives and proofs of concept to justify improvements.
• Oversee development of proofs of concept (3 months or less) to demonstrate utility.
• Draft detailed project plans with technical approach, costs, schedules, and risks.
• Collaborate with Leidos and Government stakeholders to align with program goals.
• Ensure alignment of execution with the approved improvements and vision.
