Job summary

Leidos seeks a Principal Solutions Architect to join the Integrated Information Technology Support Services (I3TS) team supporting the DTRA program at Fort Belvoir, VA. The role focuses on driving modernization, open design principles, and secure, scalable IT infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments.

Successful candidates will possess a TS/SCI clearance, 8–10 years of relevant experience, and proven ability to lead architecture efforts, manage risks, and communicate effectively with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, MIS, or related STEM field with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Active DoW TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain/maintain it.
• Experience designing secure, scalable on‑prem and cloud‑based virtualized infrastructures.
• Experience planning and executing migrations of applications and services.
• Experience developing architecture artifacts and communicating designs to stakeholders.
• Experience evaluating new technologies to improve performance, security, and costs.
• Experience operating in a DevSecOps environment of similar size/complexity.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Successful verification of 8140/8570 IAT Level II prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Identify service gaps and drive continual innovation within I3TS to meet DoD requirements.
• Lead alternative analyses and PoC development to justify improvements.
• Oversee PoCs (3 months or less) to demonstrate utility of improvements.
• Draft detailed project plans covering technical approach, cost, schedule, and risk.
• Collaborate with Leidos and Government stakeholders to align improvements with the vision.
• Document and present analysis results to stakeholders via engineering review boards.
