Job summary

SarelaTech is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to join the I3TS team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency in Fort Belvoir, VA. The architect will collaborate with Leidos and government leaders to guide modernization initiatives across IT infrastructure.

The role emphasizes designing secure, scalable architectures for on-prem and cloud environments, advancing automation, and delivering strategic improvements with measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field and 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing secure, scalable on-prem and cloud infrastructures.
• Experience planning migrations of applications and services.
• Ability to communicate designs to executives and technical teams.
• Experience evaluating new technologies to improve performance, security, and costs.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the I3TS Principal Solutions Architect in identifying service gaps and driving continual innovation.
• Lead analysis of alternatives and PoC development to justify improvements.
• Standardize, automate, and optimize site surveys and migrations.
• Increase automation to reduce staffing needs and human error risk.
• Maintain open design principles to avoid vendor lock-in.
• Incorporate emerging technologies to enhance cybersecurity and reduce TCO.
• Collaborate with project teams to align work with the vision of improvements.
• Engage Leidos and government stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
• Draft detailed project plans outlining tech approach, cost, schedule, and risks.
