Job summary

Databricks seeks a Solutions Architect to lead the technical strategy for accounts, owning architecture discussions and driving platform adoption. You will combine deep technical depth with strategic thinking to position Databricks as the foundation of customers’ data and AI strategies.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or senior hands-on role.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding, debugging, and solution-building skills.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture: scalable pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns, cloud-native data platforms.
• Proficiency with Databricks Platform and ability to develop a technical specialization.
• Experience leading architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders (whiteboarding, reviews, trade-offs).
• Experience deploying to production on public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including security and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery to deployment and growth.
• Lead complex architecture discussions for scalable, production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Serve as trusted technical advisor to customer architects, engineering leads, and Directors.
• Drive technical wins by showcasing Databricks differentiation through custom-built solutions.
• Develop an emerging technical specialization to become a go-to resource for the team.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources (DSAs, SSAs, Partners) to deliver complex solutions.
• Influence product direction with feedback on customer requirements and gaps.
