Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the technical strategy for customers, owning architecture discussions and driving platform adoption. You will combine deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to position the Databricks platform as the foundation of customers’ data and AI strategy.

You will develop a specialization, lead cross-functional delivery, and influence product direction with customer feedback.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or senior hands-on role.
• Strong coding in Python and SQL with live coding, debugging, and solution-building skills.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture: pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns, cloud-native platforms.
• Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with production deployments on public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Track record of driving platform adoption and business value.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering.
• Desired: healthcare data standards and pharma/biotech domain familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery to production deployment and growth.
• Lead complex architecture discussions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects and engineering leads.
• Drive technical wins by showcasing Databricks’ differentiation through custom solutions.
• Develop an emerging technical specialization and become a go-to resource within the team.
• Orchestrate cross-functional resources to deliver comprehensive solutions for complex needs.
• Influence product direction with structured feedback on customer requirements and gaps.
