Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the technical strategy for customers, owning architecture discussions and driving platform adoption. You will partner with customer senior technical leads to position Databricks as the foundation of data and AI strategy within accounts.

You will develop a technical specialization while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver complex, production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or senior hands-on technical role.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding, debugging, and solution-building demonstrated.
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture: pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns, cloud-native platforms.
• Proficient on the Databricks Platform with developing specialization in one area.
• Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior stakeholders and perform design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy from discovery through deployment and usage growth.
• Lead complex architecture discussions for scalable, production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, real-time analytics.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects and engineering leads.
• Drive technical wins by showcasing Databricks differentiation through custom solutions.
• Develop an emerging technical specialization to become a go-to resource for the team.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources to deliver comprehensive solutions for complex needs.
• Influence product direction by providing feedback on customer requirements and gaps.
