Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead customer engagements, design distributed data architectures, and guide implementations of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform. This role combines technical leadership with customer-facing strategy and collaboration with sales, product, and post-sales teams.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in related roles, experience with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP), and strong data engineering and warehousing knowledge.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems
• Comfortable programming in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R
• Experience supporting Public Sector clients
• Built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Data Engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
• Data Warehousing (SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS)
• US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can solve business problems
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks
• Consult on big data architecture, implement proofs of concept for strategic customer projects, data science and ML projects, and validate integrations with cloud services and other 3rd party applications
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications for customers
• Promote Databricks and open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow) across developer communities through meetups, conferences, and webinars
• Travel to customers in your region
