Job summary
Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the design of a modern data platform and AI-enabled analytics capabilities. You will guide cloud, data engineering, and analytics teams, aligning vendor designs with enterprise standards, security, and regulatory needs.
You will mentor engineers, develop reusable patterns, and ensure knowledge transfer to enable MCW to operate the platform independently over time.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in data engineering, software/data architecture, or closely related discipline.
- 3+ years in solutions, data, or enterprise architect capacity.
- Experience with healthcare, life sciences, or regulated data domains is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve end-to-end reference architecture for modernized data estate.
- Lead migration to lakehouse with ingestion pipelines and cost/performance optimization.
- Establish patterns and guardrails for agentic AI and ML lifecycle.
