Job summary

Medical College of Wisconsin seeks an experienced Solutions Architect to design and validate the future-state data platform. You will lead architecture reviews, mentor staff, and collaborate with vendors and IT leaders to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant data, analytics, and AI readiness.

You will drive the lakehouse migration, establish governance, and align with regulatory requirements while enabling efficient cross-functional delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in data engineering, software/data architecture, or related discipline; 3+ years in architect capacity.
• Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent hyperscaler certs.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end reference architecture for modernized data estate and lakehouse migration.
• Design and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for cost, security, and performance.
• Lead integration of data, analytics, and AI capabilities with governance and metadata.
