Job summary

Summit Construction Advisors seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to lead enterprise data, analytics, and AI ecosystem architecture in a highly visible role based in Dallas. The candidate will shape scalable data platforms, govern data quality and security, and guide Azure Synapse, Snowflake, and Power BI initiatives across the organization.

Requirements include 15+ years in data engineering/architecture and 5+ years with Snowflake, plus strong cloud and leadership capabilities to translate

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience across data engineering, data architecture, analytics, solution architecture, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Snowflake.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience designing modern data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse architectures.
• Strong understanding of data engineering, ETL/ELT, data modeling, integration, and analytics.
• Experience supporting the data infrastructure required for AI and machine learning applications.
• Experience with Power BI and enterprise analytics environments.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, quality, and architecture standards.
• Experience working with cloud platforms and modern enterprise data ecosystems.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction across complex data initiatives.
• Design and optimize modern cloud-based data platforms and lakehouse architectures.
• Lead architecture involving Snowflake and Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Support the development of infrastructure and data architecture needed for AI and machine learning initiatives.
• Establish best practices around data governance, security, quality, integration, and accessibility.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to understand organizational needs and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and help shape the organization's long-term data and technology roadmap.
• Mentor technical team members and provide guidance on architecture, engineering standards, and solution design.

We are partnering with a well-established organization in the construction industry seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to help lead the architecture and continued evolution of its enterprise data, analytics, and AI ecosystem.

This is a highly visible technical leadership role for someone who can see the big picture while still understanding how modern data platforms are designed and built. The ideal candidate brings deep experience across data engineering, architecture, analytics, cloud technologies, and AI/ML infrastructure and can translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. This role is on-site, based on Dallas, Texas.
