Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead customer engagements, architect scalable data solutions, and guide customers through implementation of the Databricks platform. You will work with sales, post-sales teams, and product teams to identify use cases and craft architectures that deliver measurable value.

You will build champions, deliver reference architectures, and champion open-source projects like Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can help solve their business problems.
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture, implement proofs of concepts for strategic customer projects, data science and ML projects, and validate integrations with cloud services and other 3rd party applications.
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications for customers.
• Become an expert in Databricks open-source projects and promote them across developer communities.
