Job summary

Summit Broadband is seeking a Solutions Architect to be the primary pre and post sales technical resource for Sales and Customer Operations in SW Florida. You will drive customer requirements, articulate product positioning, and act as SME for voice, data, video and other offerings.

You will design cost-effective network solutions, price components, and support transitions from design to implementation while partnering with Engineering and Operations. Travel to other markets may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering or related discipline required.
• 7+ years telecommunications experience in broadband services required.
• Expertise with network design, implementation, routing, switching, including dense and distributed WiFi networks, GPON and XGSPON platforms.
• Expertise in product management and product design.
• Knowledge of Outside Plant fiber design and logical network with minimal capital exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post sales consultation and assist the sales team in the discovery process.
• Gather data from the customer site and vendor inputs; research solutions and design, configure and price components.
• Design practical, cost-effective solutions that meet customer needs and support proposals and bids.
• Manage transition from design and sale to implementation with project coordination and customer liaison.
• Deliver training sessions and maintain ongoing technical expertise with OEMs and vendors.
