Job summary

Alkira, a Lumen Connect Solution, is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer / Solutions Architect to embed with major Enterprise accounts, from pre-sales validation to production deployment and adoption.

This hands-on role sits at the intersection of Sales, Engineering, and customers, designing Alkira-based network solutions, building automation, and driving customer success across multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role (consulting, SE, or similar).
• 1+ year hands-on cloud solution architecture for AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI.
• Experience designing hybrid/public cloud infrastructure and security.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Embed with strategic customers as the hands-on technical owner from evaluation through production deployment.
• Lead network architecture discussions with customers and partners.
• Design, build, and deploy Alkira-based solutions in customer environments.
• Develop automation and tooling to accelerate deployments.
• Collaborate with customer networking, cloud, and platform teams.
• Conduct workshops and training for customers and partners.
• Provide deep technical support and drive resolutions with Engineering.
• Own customer success on key accounts from adoption and expansion.
