Job summary

Databricks seeks a Solutions Architect to own end-to-end technical strategy for key accounts, from discovery to production deployment and consumption growth. You will lead architecture discussions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics, and advise customer technical leads and architects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture or data engineering or senior technical role
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding, debugging and solution-building
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture: designing scalable pipelines, streaming, lakehouse, and cloud-native platforms
• Proficient on the Databricks platform with developing specialization in one area (e.g., real-time/streaming, ML/AI)
• Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior stakeholders — whiteboarding, design reviews, trade-off analysis
• Experience with production deployments on public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including infra, security, and governance considerations
• Track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth within accounts
• Excellent communication skills to translate architectures into business value for technical and executive audiences
• Ability to travel to customers 30% of the time
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery through production deployment and consumption growth
• Lead complex architecture discussions—designing scalable, production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects, engineering leads and Directors
• Drive technical wins in competitive scenarios with custom-built Databricks solutions
• Develop and declare an emerging technical specialization for the team
• Orchestrate cross-functional resources (DSAs, SSAs, Partners) to deliver comprehensive solutions
• Influence product direction by providing feedback on customer requirements and competitive gaps
