Job summary

Databricks, based in Amsterdam, is seeking a Solutions Architect in the Benelux Strategic Accounts team to drive the technical strategy for customers. You will own architecture discussions and guide platform adoption across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics, engaging with customer technical leads and Directors.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales and/or senior hands-on technical role
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding, debugging, and solution-building skills
• Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture: scalable pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns, cloud-native data platforms
• Proficient on the Databricks Platform with a developing technical specialisation in one area
• Experience leading architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders via whiteboarding and design reviews
• Experience deploying to public clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP) including security and governance
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical strategy with customer accounts from discovery to deployment and growth
• Lead complex architecture discussions for data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customer architects and engineering leads
• Drive technical wins by demonstrating Databricks differentiation with custom solutions
• Develop emerging technical specialisation and be a go-to resource for the team
• Coordinate cross-functional resources to deliver comprehensive solutions for complex needs
• Provide structured feedback on customer requirements and competitive gaps
