Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect for the Digital Native Business to shape the Data & AI landscape by guiding sophisticated data teams.

You will lead discovery, design architectures, and develop proofs of concept across data engineering, science and ML, integrating with cloud services and homegrown tools. You will partner with sales, mentor engineers, and promote Databricks open-source initiatives while traveling to customer sites within your region.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering, data science, technical architecture or pre-sales/consulting.
• Comfortable programming in Python and SQL.
• Experience building solutions on public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Expertise in Data Engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• Expertise in Data Science and ML technologies (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow).
• Willingness to travel to customer sites within region.
• Databricks Certification is nice to have.
• Location: Remote (Pacific Time preferred; Mountain Time considered).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and design architectures for strategic projects across data engineering, data science and ML.
• Develop architectures and proofs of concept integrating with cloud services and third-party tools.
• Act as strategic technical advisor to help customers drive business outcomes.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects and other teams to support customers.
• Promote and recruit contributors for Databricks open-source projects across the developer community.
