Job summary

BECU is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to shape the future of lending and credit card technology. You will bridge architecture and engineering, delivering scalable, secure solutions that enhance member experiences and drive modernization.

This role requires deep technical leadership and collaboration across teams. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of IT experience, strong cloud and API skills, and a track record of delivering enterprise-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years IT experience with application design.
• Experience with Financial products (credit card, mortgage, loans).
• Experience with public cloud (Azure/AWS/Google) and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-scale solution design for lending and credit card platforms.
• Translate requirements into scalable, secure architectures.
• Drive modernization and cloud-first strategies in Azure.
• Mentor engineers and guide API/integration strategy.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
