Job summary

Rescale is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead technical engagements in the DACH region. You will guide customers from pre-sales through to cloud modernization, leveraging CFD/FEA, molecular dynamics, and physics AI to deliver tailored, high-impact solutions.

Travel and customer-facing leadership are key facets of the role. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in technical sales or consulting, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex topics into compelling business

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in engineering, computer science, math, physics, or equivalent (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred).
• Domain Expertise: Expertise in digital engineering disciplines (e.g., CFD, FEA, Molecular Dynamics, Computational Chemistry, Seismic Simulation) with the ability to demonstrate thought leadership and practical understanding of emerging frameworks like Physics AI and Agentic Engineering.
• Experience: At least 6 years of experience in a technical sales, pre-sales, or technical consultant role.
• Customer Obsession: Obsessed with providing the best experience and solutions to customers.
• Problem Solver: Enjoy solving difficult technical and business problems and strive to find the most elegant solutions.
• Communication Skills: A great presenter with the ability to communicate highly technical and futuristic topics in an easy-to-understand, compelling manner.
• Logistics: Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the customer pre-sales engagement, such as customer meetings, presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concepts.
• Workflow Optimization & Analysis: Work independently to analyze technical needs, requirements, the customer’s current infrastructure, operations, and workflows.
• Tailored Solutions & Deep Empathy: Gain a deep knowledge of customer workflows and complex R&D environments to provide a tailored solution with a unique value proposition.
• Digital Transformation Strategy: Work with customers to define and execute their digital transformation strategy, modernizing workloads from on-prem to the cloud.
• Industry Thought Leadership: Act as a thought leader for Rescale by articulating and presenting our solutions alongside cutting-edge topics like Physics AI and Agentic Engineering at conferences, user groups, webinars, and other industry or partner-driven events.
