Job summary

Amentum in Washington, DC seeks a Top-Secret cleared Solutions Architect / Technical Lead to lead an engineering team building critical national security applications. You will architect scalable AWS cloud solutions, integrate AI development work, and drive DevOps within a SAFe Agile framework.

This role emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration with stakeholders, and ensuring secure, compliant system integration across projects.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in backend software development with Java, JavaScript, Go, Python, TypeScript, or .NET.
• Experience deploying Java with the latest JDK versions.
• Understanding of system architecture and vulnerability mitigation strategies.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring, Node.js, Gin, AngularJS, React, NextJS, NestJS, Hibernate, Struts.
• Experience with SDLC processes and Agile development.
• Experience with architecture and IaC in cloud environments (Terraform or similar).
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Minimum of 8 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software development and architectural design across teams.
• Design AI-driven capabilities and scalable AWS cloud solutions.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Git and GitLab.
• Champion SAFe Agile and SCRUM across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support ATO and security accreditation processes.
