Amentum is seeking a Top-Secret cleared Java Tech Lead / Senior Enterprise Architect to join our Washington, DC team. You will architect and lead enterprise-class Java applications, leveraging AWS and DevOps practices to deliver scalable on-premises and cloud-based solutions for national security missions.

Responsibilities include technical leadership, cloud architecture, and guiding Agile execution, with a focus on stability, portability, and security accreditation.

Qualifications

• 7–9 years of professional experience in enterprise architecture or related technical fields.
• Active Top-Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or related discipline.
• In absence of degree, additional years of experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-class Java applications and target baseline architectures for production environments.
• Architect, build, and optimize scalable AWS cloud solutions with extensive AWS services experience.
• Implement and oversee automated CI/CD pipelines utilizing Git and GitLab.
• Champion SAFe Agile and SCRUM methodologies to align standards with strategy.
• Identify design gaps and recommend enhancements to ensure stability, portability, and scalability while supporting security accreditation.
