Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Solid Waste Engineer for our Houston, TX office. You will work on civil and environmental projects related to solid waste facilities, performing calculations, report preparation, and design tasks for stormwater, landfill grading, leachate, and gas collection systems.

Ideal candidates have a PE license (or be licensed soon), a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and 7–10 years of experience, with strong project management skills and AutoCAD/Civil

Qualifications

B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
7–10 years of professional engineering experience.
Experience with IHW and O&G waste preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform airspace, excavation, and fill volume calculations for solid waste facilities.
Prepare and review technical reports and assist with stormwater and landfill design.
Conduct fieldwork for Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) and environmental monitoring.
