Job summary

Pratt & Whitney seeks a Principal Engineer for Solid Propulsion in an onsite role at the Tewksbury, MA facility. The incumbent will lead propulsion system development across missile and space programs, interfacing with customers and subcontractors to advance technology and meet delivery milestones.

Required are a STEM degree with 8+ years of propulsion experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years, and the ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• 8 years propulsion experience and solid propulsion systems development.
• Ability to obtain/maintain US security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and apply advanced technologies to propulsion system integration for missiles and space vehicles.
• Lead development and production programs across Raytheon product lines.
• Review manufacturing processes and work with subcontractors on solid rocket motor propulsion systems.
• Deliver technical presentations to management and government agencies.
• Interface with customers to identify needs and communicate capabilities.
• Oversee propulsion development projects and supplier subcontracts; review data changes.
