Job summary

Raytheon’s Energetics and Propulsion Department in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Engineer - Propulsion for an onsite role in Tewksbury. You will apply advanced propulsion technologies, guide program management, and collaborate across product lines to advance propulsion systems for missiles and space vehicles.

The role requires a strong background in solid propulsion, the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance, and active citizenship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience OR advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Three years of propulsion technology experience and its application to solid propulsion systems.
  • Experience developing solid propulsion systems from concept to test/assembly.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Apply or develop advanced technologies to propulsion system integration for missiles and space vehicles.
  • Collaborate across Raytheon product lines in development and production programs.
  • Review manufacturing processes and work with subcontractors on solid propulsion system design and manufacture.
  • Deliver technical presentations to management and government agencies.
  • Lead propulsion development projects and manage subcontracts; oversee supplier operations.
