Job summary

Invenergy LLC operates the Chalk Bluff Solar Energy Center, a 450 MW-AC facility in Arkansas, and seeks a Solar Technician to assist with operations and maintenance of solar and substation equipment.

The role features a 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday–Friday schedule with overtime and possible night work during peak maintenance periods. You will maintain tooling, facilities, and safety practices on-site and may travel to support regional sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of renewable energy operations & maintenance experience or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Willing to support other project sites in the region.
• Willing to work nights during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Ability to climb/work safely from a portable step ladder.
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks with minimal oversight.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to move/manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on site solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Perform vegetation management and operate large equipment per the vegetation plan.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic issues including inverter and tracker faults, network issues, ground faults, and subsystems.
• Understand electrical/mechanical/hydraulic functions of site components.
• Conduct daily site maintenance wearing safety equipment to inspect and repair equipment.
