Job summary

Invenergy, LLC in Louisville, IL is seeking a Solar Technician to operate and maintain Maple Flats Energy Center, a 250 MW-AC solar facility. The role involves routine mechanical and electrical maintenance of solar and substation equipment at the site.

You will troubleshoot inverters and trackers, manage vegetation, and perform site inspections. The position runs 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday, with possible overtime and night work, and requires travel up to 30% and outdoor work in all weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year technical experience (electrical, etc.) and/or formal technical education.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Support other project sites in the region as needed.
• Able to work nights during maintenance activities.
• Work outdoors in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Perform vegetation management as required by the site plan.
• Troubleshoot inverter faults, tracker faults, network communications, and ground faults.
• Inspect, maintain and repair equipment with proper safety protocols.
• Work 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday, with overtime and possible night shifts.
