Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Solar Technician for the Beekman Energy Center in Bastrop, LA. The role performs routine electrical and mechanical maintenance on solar and substation equipment at a 185 MW-AC facility, with a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule, overtime and potential night work.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of technical experience and be willing to travel up to 30%. The position requires outdoor work, the ability to lift up to 45 kg, a valid driver's license, and the need to work

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and technical experience.
• Willing to travel up to 30% and support other project sites.
• Able to work nights and outdoors in all weather.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Conduct vegetation management and operate large equipment per plan.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic issues including inverter and tracker faults.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on site.
• Perform daily site maintenance and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Follow 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule with overtime/night work as needed.
• Maintain tooling and facilities and report issues.
