Job summary

Invenergy LLC in Arkansas is seeking an Advanced Solar Technician to assist in operating and maintaining the Chalk Bluff Solar Energy Center. You will support routine maintenance on solar arrays, substation equipment, and associated systems at the 450 MW-AC facility.

The role requires 4+ years in renewable energy operations (or 8+ years in related fields), willingness to travel up to 30% and to work nights during maintenance.

Qualifications

• Four or more years in renewable energy ops/maintenance or eight+ years in related fields.
• Willing to travel up to 30% and support other project sites.
• Willing to work nights during maintenance.
• Must work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Able to climb and work safely from a portable ladder.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on site solar, substation and equipment.
• Perform vegetation management per plan.
• Troubleshoot inverter, tracker, network, ground and substation issues.
• Understand electrical, mechanical and hydraulic functions of site components.
• Conduct daily site maintenance with safety gear to inspect, repair equipment.
• Work 7:00am–3:30pm Mon-Fri (40 hours) with overtime and night work; peak seasons vary.
• Maintain tooling, facilities and a safe, clean work environment.
