Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Solar Technician to support operation and maintenance at the Chalk Bluff Solar Energy Center. The role involves routine mechanical and electrical maintenance, vegetation management, and troubleshooting of inverters, trackers, and substations to ensure optimal site performance.

The position requires a High school diploma, 1 year of technical experience, willingness to travel up to 30%, and ability to work nights outdoors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year technical experience (electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Willing to work nights during maintenance activities.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Able to climb / work safely from a portable ladder.
• Able to understand directions and follow procedures with minimal oversight.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to move up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on all site solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Perform vegetation management and operate large equipment per plan.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic problems including inverter/tracker faults and network issues.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of site components.
• Conduct daily site maintenance with safety equipment and repairs.
• Work a 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday-Friday schedule (40 hours) with overtime and potential night work.
• Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean safe work environment.
