Job summary

Carolina Solar Services, LLC seeks a Senior Solar Technician to serve as the lead field service technician for utility-scale solar facilities. You will supervise and train junior technicians, represent CSS in the field, and ensure safe and timely execution of service obligations.

Key duties include troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and generating Field Service Reports for clients, with on-call duties and occasional travel. A strong safety record and PV knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years field experience in utility solar PV or 6 years related experience
• Ability to lead field work and mentor junior technicians
• Strong safety focus and experience with electrical/mechanical trades

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing utility scale solar generators
• Lead commissioning, QA inspection, or preventive maintenance
• Provide timely Field Service Reports to Operations and client
• On-the-job training for less experienced staff and safety leadership
• Overtime and on-call availability; occasional overnight travel
