Job summary

RES is seeking a Lead Technician to head a team of field service technicians at a utility-scale solar site. You will guide preventative and corrective maintenance on solar panels, trackers, inverters, and substations, ensuring reliable operations and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include mentoring junior technicians, coordinating with plant management and subcontractors, and leading JHA-based safety practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related electrical maintenance experience.
• 3+ years medium voltage electrical work experience.
• 2+ years managing or leading field technicians.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to reside within 60 miles of the work site for on-site responsibilities.
• 5–15% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of field service technicians for solar facility operations and maintenance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on on-site assets (panels, trackers, inverters, substations).
• Interface with owners, equipment manufacturers, and subcontractors as RES representative.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in daily operations.
• Operate RES vehicles and respond to priority/emergency calls within 1.5 hours.
