Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Lead Solar Technician to provide field leadership for the safe, reliable operation of a solar facility in Stockdale, TX. You will oversee maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of PV equipment and Balance of Plant assets, guiding technicians and contractors while ensuring safety and compliance with procedures.

You will read electrical drawings and schematics, apply SCADA data, and lead risk assessments, coaching others to achieve high-quality outcomes in a 24/7 field

Qualifications

• College degree in an electrical field with relevant solar or electrical asset experience.
• Experience in maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing PV equipment and related systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and technical docs; knowledge of electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical and field leadership to support safe, reliable solar facility operation.
• Lead maintenance, inspections, testing, electrical switching, and troubleshooting of solar assets.
• Coordinate technicians and contractors, ensuring safety, permits, and procedures compliance.
• Use SCADA, diagnostics, OEM manuals, and drawings to assess equipment performance and resolve issues.
• Lead job planning, risk assessments, and control of hazardous energy activities.
• Coach technicians, promote teamwork, and support on-the-job training.
• Identify risks and improvement opportunities; document work in Maximo.
