Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to oversee early-stage solar and storage projects, coordinating with consultants, engineers and EPCs.

The role includes managing due diligence, budgets and schedules, and driving projects from LOI to NTP while safeguarding safety and quality standards. The position can be performed remotely or from offices in Teaneck NJ, Irvine CA or San Francisco CA, with travel up to 10% annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Management, Architecture or related engineering science).
• 5–7+ years of project management experience with a track record of ground mount commercial solar development (min 1 MW).
• Strong knowledge of ground mount projects in the Northeastern US; roof/carport PV experience is a plus.
• Understanding of power systems, electrical grid and smart grid concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in due diligence on LOI to NTP phase.
• Lead engineering, permitting, procurement, construction and close-out of multiple solar projects.
• Generate reports on status, progress and issues for management.
• Develop and implement project work plans and schedules.
• Prequalify EPC partners and create bid packages, analyze bids and assist in awards.
• Negotiate EPC and consultant contracts from templates and attachments.
• Manage engineers and contractors to support project goals.
• Create detailed, logical schedules for each project.
• Collaborate with Procore and other PM tools.
• Ensure budgets, scope and timeline are achievable.
