Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead multiple EPC-driven projects in the solar and energy storage sectors. The role oversees project engineers, ensures design compliance, and coordinates cross-functional teams nationwide.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in solar/ storage, strong AutoCAD/PVSyst skills, and proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering groups. Remote work is possible with travel.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering science.
• Minimum 10 years in solar/energy storage projects including HV substation equipment.
• Minimum 10 years on-site experience with solar activities.
• Minimum 5 years direct management of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Willingness to travel at least 30%.
• Experience with AutoCAD and PV performance modeling tools (PVSyst).
• Knowledge of PV plant design and optimization and National Electric Code.

Responsibilities

• Lead all stages of multiple projects and project engineering, including conceptual and advanced system design, and oversee regulatory codes and customer requirements.
• Supervise technical planning for contract preparation and report to clients and engineering groups.
• Develop planning processes and standards within the team and mentor new project engineers.
• Drive a safety culture and establish metrics to characterize project status across the life cycle.
