DNV Energy Systems’ Renewables and Power Grids group is seeking a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join our Solar Energy Assessments team in North America. You will perform long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for utility-scale, distributed generation, and community solar projects.

You will analyze plant performance, quantify resource variability, and support energy yield modeling, delivering technical reports and presenting findings to clients.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in solar energy assessments in North America.
• Strong data-analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel and Python.
• Experience with MCP analyses and understanding solar resource variability.
• Familiar with SolarFarmer, PlantPredict, PVsyst, pvlib or similar tools.
• Excellent English communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Mansioni

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for utility-scale, distributed generation, commercial & industrial, community solar, residential, and hybrid projects.
• Analyze operational production and performance data, evaluate resource variability, and support bankable energy yield assessments.
• Ensure deliverables meet DNV standards: prepare technical reports, validate methodologies, and communicate findings to customers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate to improve analytical tools, workflows, and software-based processes.
