Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join our Renewables and Power Grids team in North America. You will deliver solar resource and energy production assessments for diverse project types across the region.

The role requires five years of experience, strong data-analysis skills, and proficiency with solar modeling software and Python. Hybrid work options and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, atmospheric science, mathematics, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in solar energy assessments in North America.
• Strong understanding of solar resource assessment, solar energy production modeling, and photovoltaic system operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for utility-scale, distributed generation, commercial & industrial, community solar, residential, and hybrid renewable energy projects.
• Analyze operational production data from solar plants, evaluate resource variability, and support bankable energy yield assessments.
• Ensure deliverables meet industry standards; prepare technical reports and perform QA/review of methodologies and outcomes.
• Collaborate with analysts to implement latest methods and develop analytical tools and workflows.
