Job summary

Silicon Ranch Corporation in Georgia seeks a Solar PV Operations and Maintenance Area Lead III - Field Operations to oversee maintenance across multiple GA sites (Hazlehurst, Jesup, Vidalia, Waycross, Douglas). You will lead preventive and corrective maintenance of PV, UPS, SCADA, substations, and MV/HV/OHE systems, and mentor field teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive PV O&M experience at NERC-regulated facilities of 100 MW or greater, with on-site management experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced computer and electronic equipment skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E, and OSHA standards.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• OSHA 30 certification (must be obtained within 4 weeks of employment).
• CPR/BLS certification (must be obtained within 4 weeks of employment).
• State electrical license or NABCEP certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead scheduled preventive maintenance tasks at each facility, including PV system, UPS, SCADA, substation, and MV/HV/OHE systems.
• Perform and lead corrective maintenance tasks, both scheduled and unscheduled, at each facility, including PV system, UPS, SCADA, substation, and MV/HV/OHE systems.
• Respond to emergency dispatch directives for critical systems as directed.
• Log all work performed via the Silicon Ranch CMMS platform.
• Perform electrical testing using IV Curve Tracers, Power Quality Meters, Insulation Resistance Testers, Multimeters, and other testing equipment as needed.
• Assist management with field investigations to support predictive analytics, root cause analysis, and serial defect reports.
• Assist in creating and reviewing preventative and corrective maintenance SOPs, schedules, and checklists.
• Provide site access to third party contractors and as directed.
• Attend internal and external training sessions as directed.
• Provide daily leadership, mentoring, and training to direct reports in the defined area of operations.
• Schedule preventative and corrective maintenance work in the defined area of operations.
• Participate in regular update meetings with management, providing information and recommended actions for facilities inside the defined area of operations.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, collaboratively, and responsibly with team members and management.
• Must be able to work alone as a self-starter and work within a team driving toward a common goal.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work outside in most weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
