Job summary

Silicon Ranch seeks a Solar PV Operation & Maintenance Technician III – Field Operations for Georgia sites. You will lead preventive and corrective maintenance across PV systems, UPS, SCADA, substations, and MV/HV/OHE equipment, ensuring reliability and safety.

The role requires 4+ years in electrical trades, utility-scale solar O&M experience, and the ability to mentor field staff. Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in electrical trade or maintenance.
• 1+ year in utility-scale solar O&M.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• OSHA 30 and CPR/BLS within 4 weeks of employment.
• State electrical license or NABCEP certification desired.
• Proficient with NEC, NFPA70E, and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead scheduled preventive maintenance tasks for PV systems, UPS, SCADA, substations, and MV/HV/OHE systems.
• Perform and lead corrective maintenance tasks, scheduled or unscheduled, for the same systems.
• Respond to emergency dispatch directives for critical systems.
• Log all work in the CMMS system; document findings and actions.
• Conduct electrical testing with IV Curve Tracers, Power Quality Meters, insulation testers, multimeters, etc.
• Assist management with field investigations for predictive analytics and root-cause analysis.
• Help create and maintain maintenance SOPs, schedules, and checklists.
• Provide access for third-party contractors and coordinate on-site activities.
