Job summary

Silicon Ranch is seeking a Solar PV Operations and Maintenance Area Lead III for Georgia sites to oversee performance, troubleshooting, and repair of PV facilities. The role requires proven on‑site management at NERC‑regulated facilities of 100 MW or greater and hands‑on experience with DC, AC, and MV systems.

You will lead daily maintenance, coordinate with site teams, and mentor junior staff while ensuring safety and reliability across multiple GA locations.

Qualifications

• Must have PV solar operations and maintenance experience.
• Direct on‑site management experience at NERC‑regulated solar facilities of 100 MW or greater is required.
• 4+ years in electrical trade, electrical maintenance, multicraft maintenance, or an apprenticeship completed are required.
• 1+ years in utility scale solar PV operations and maintenance are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive maintenance tasks at each facility for PV systems, UPS, SCADA, substation, and MV/HV/OHE systems.
• Lead corrective maintenance tasks, both scheduled and unscheduled, across the same systems.
• Respond to emergency dispatch directives for critical systems as directed.
• Log all work in the Silicon Ranch CMMS platform.
• Perform electrical testing with IV Curve Tracers, Power Quality Meters, Insulation Resistance Testers and Multimeters as needed.
• Assist in field investigations to support predictive analytics and root cause analysis.

Working knowledge of NEC NFPA70E OSHA

Valid Driver’s License

Education

High School Diploma or GED

OSHA 30 (certified within 4 weeks)

CPR/BLS (certified within 4 weeks)

State electrical license or NABCEP certification (desired)
