Job summary

Silicon Ranch Corporation seeks an experienced Solar PV Operations and Maintenance Area Lead III to oversee field operations across Georgia sites. You will lead preventive and corrective maintenance for PV systems, UPS, SCADA, substations, and MV/HV/OHE components, ensuring reliability and safety.

The role requires on-site management of 100 MW+ NERC-regulated facilities, strong electrical/M&E skills, and the ability to mentor field teams while coordinating with management.

Qualifications

• PV solar operations and maintenance experience required.
• Direct on-site management experience at NERC-regulated facilities 100 MW+.
• 4+ years in electrical trade, electrical maintenance, multicraft maintenance, or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
• 1+ years of experience in utility-scale solar PV operations and maintenance.
• Experience with MV/HV, IT systems, inverters, T&D, substations or other electrical systems highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead scheduled preventive maintenance tasks at each facility, including the full PV system, UPS, SCADA, substation, and MV/HV/OHE systems.
• Perform and lead corrective maintenance tasks, both scheduled and unscheduled, at each facility, including the full PV system, UPS, SCADA, substation, and MV/HV/OHE systems.
• Respond to directives for emergency dispatches for critical systems as directed.
• Log all work performed via the Silicon Ranch CMMS platform.
• Perform electrical testing using IV Curve Tracers, Power Quality Meters, Insulation Resistance Testers, Multimeters, and other testing equipment as needed.
• Assist management with field investigations to support predictive analytics, root cause analysis, and serial defect reports.
• Assist in creating and reviewing preventative and corrective maintenance SOP’s, schedules, and checklists.
• Provide site access to third party contractors and as directed.
• Attend internal and external training sessions as directed.
• Perform other tasks as directed.
• Provide daily leadership, mentoring, and training to direct reports in the defined area of operations.
• Schedule preventative and corrective maintenance work in the defined area of operations.
• Participate in regular update meetings with management, providing information and recommended actions for facilities inside the defined area of operations.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, collaboratively, and responsibly with team members and management.
• Must be able to work alone as a self-starter and work within a team driving towards a common goal.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.Must be able to work outside in most weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
