Job summary

Silicon Ranch Corporation is hiring a Solar PV Operation and Maintenance Technician III for Field Operations across Georgia sites, including Hazlehurst, Jesup, Vidalia, Waycross, and Douglas. The role focuses on leading preventive and corrective maintenance of the PV facility, UPS, SCADA, substation, and MV/HV/OHE systems, with strong electrical and mechanical expertise.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in electrical trades and 1+ year in utility-scale solar PV O&M, plus NEC/NFPA70E/OSHA

Qualifications

• Advanced skills with computers and electronic equipment.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E, and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead scheduled preventive maintenance tasks at each facility, including the full PV system, UPS, SCADA, substation, and MV/HV/OHE systems.
• Perform and lead corrective maintenance tasks, both scheduled and unscheduled, at each facility, including the full PV system, UPS, SCADA, substation, and MV/HV/OHE systems.
• Respond to directives for emergency dispatches for critical systems as directed.
• Log all work performed via the Silicon Ranch CMMS platform.
• Perform electrical testing using IV Curve Tracers, Power Quality Meters, Insulation Resistance Testers, Multimeters, and other testing equipment as needed.
• Assist management with field investigations to support predictive analytics, root cause analysis, and serial defect reports.
• Assist in creating and reviewing preventative and corrective maintenance SOP’s, schedules, and checklists.
• Provide site access to third party contractors and as directed.
• Attend internal and external training sessions as directed.
• Perform other tasks as directed.
• Provide daily leadership, mentoring, and training to direct reports in the defined area of operations.
