Job summary

8MSolar LLC in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to oversee solar PV projects from sale through installation and activation. The role requires strong technical aptitude in commercial electrical systems and hands-on commissioning, with a focus on documentation, permitting, procurement, and closeout.

The candidate will manage schedules, coordinate staff, verify QA/QC, and liaise with clients to ensure milestones are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 4-year technical degree required.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in the solar industry with a strong focus on field execution and system startup.
• Robust understanding of commercial electrical systems, including three-phase power dynamics, switchgear, transformers, and interconnection requirements.
• Familiarity with solar PV communication platforms and DAS hardware; knowledge of Modbus TCP/RTU and SunSpec Modbus specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from contract signing to final closeout.
• Verify end-to-end commissioning for commercial solar PV systems.
• Review electrical drawings and provide improvements.
• Manage client relations and project billing milestones.
