Job summary

Gemma Power Systems is seeking a Solar Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar projects from Notice to Proceed through commissioning. You will own project decisions and foster strong client, subcontractor, labor, and stakeholder relationships.

Relocation to project site area is required, with potential future site moves. You will manage construction activities across disciplines, oversee contracts, and guide field teams to meet schedules and budgets while ensuring safety and quality at every

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of solar or large-scale renewable energy project experience.
• Willingness to work full-time from the project site in a field-based environment.
• Experience with EPC companies is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel; Power BI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite representative for all project matters and communications.
• Oversee solar project delivery including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all construction activities for utility-scale solar.
• Solicit quotes, review proposals, and assist in negotiating contracts.
• Provide contract oversight, review invoices, and compile progress reports.
• Manage onsite personnel and procurement, maintain safety and quality standards.
• Support estimating, budgeting, and labor planning; ensure timely completion.
• Develop client relationships and mentor site staff, including an Assistant PM.
