Job summary

Gemma Power Systems, LLC is seeking a Solar Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar projects from Notice to Proceed through commissioning. You will be the onsite face forOwner communication, manage safety, schedule, cost and subcontractor coordination, and ensure successful project delivery from site preparation to turnover.

You will relocate to the project area in Cambria County, PA and may relocate to future project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience with solar power generation or large-scale renewables.
• Full-time, on-site work at project site throughout construction.
• Training in cost & production forecasting and project financials.
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering tech, codes and standards.
• Proficient in Excel; Power BI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite representative for project matters and Owner communication.
• Ensure construction safety, environmental and quality requirements are met and documented.
• Oversee solar project delivery across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical scopes.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all construction activities for utility-scale solar.
• Solicit quotes, review proposals, and assist in negotiating contracts.
• Provide contract oversight, review invoices, and compile progress reports.
• Manage onsite personnel and subcontractors; address issues.
• Support estimating, budgeting, and labor planning activities.
• Forecast project completion and monitor production metrics.
• Organize subcontract and staff coordination meetings and weekly status updates.
• Interface with Owner's Engineer and utility reps for interconnection and turnover.
• Drive commissioning and energization activities with subcontractors and OEMs.
• Develop strong client relationships and mentor site staff.
