Job summary

Gemma Power Systems is seeking a Solar Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar projects from Notice to Proceed through commercial operation. You will own project goals, execution decisions, and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, labor, and stakeholders.

The role requires relocation to the project area and possibly to future sites. The PM will oversee civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes, ensure safety and quality, and manage budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in solar power generation or large-scale renewable energy projects.
• Full-time on-site work at project site during construction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite representative for all project matters and maintain proactive communication with the Owner.
• Oversee all aspects of solar project delivery including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes and ensure schedules and budgets are met.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise construction activities for utility-scale solar, including site prep, pile driving, module installation, and substation work.
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors, review proposals, and assist in negotiating contracts to protect company interests.
• Provide contract oversight and review monthly invoices, with frequent progress reporting.
• Manage onsite personnel and procurement teams; address personnel issues as they arise.
• Support estimating, budgeting, and labor planning activities.
