Job summary

Verogy is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to provide expert-level engineering oversight across commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar projects. You will act as the technical authority for project engineering, ensuring designs meet constructability, electrical performance, and safety standards.

You will lead reviews, validate system designs, perform capacity calculations, and communicate with IEs, financiers, and stakeholders. Hybrid field requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years of solar engineering experience with C&I and utility-scale PV design/oversight.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE standards, grounding and protection schemes.
• Experience reviewing PV system designs, electrical calculations, and energy modeling outputs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical reviewer for C&I and utility-scale solar projects.
• Lead review of electrical diagrams, equipment schedules and inverter layouts.
• Perform capacity tests, load calculations, PV performance validations and energy modeling reviews.
• Coordinate engineering with mechanical and civil design to ensure system functionality.
• Provide technical direction to internal teams and external partners across all project phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide cross-functional teams.
