Job summary

Verogy in West Hartford, CT, seeks a PV Designer/Solar Engineer to design utility-scale and C&I solar projects. You will develop detailed PV layouts, perform energy modeling, and ensure NEC and local code compliance while collaborating with sales, PM, and construction teams.

You will use AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Helioscope to create system layouts, conduct site assessments, and prepare design packages for permitting and construction, contributing to Verogy's mission of sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in solar PV design for C&I and utility-scale projects.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, PVsyst and Helioscope for design work.
Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes and interconnection standards.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed PV system designs, schematics, and site plans.
Conduct energy modeling and production analysis to optimize performance.
Collaborate with sales, project management, and construction teams on layouts and materials.
Ensure designs comply with NEC, local codes, and interconnection standards.
Perform site assessments and feasibility studies including shading and interconnection reviews.
