Job summary

RES is seeking a Sr. Engineer IV - Solar Engineering to provide PV performance and design expertise on utility-scale solar and storage projects through development, design, construction, and commissioning phases.

The role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 3 days in office. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in utility-scale PV engineering, strong skills in energy modeling, equipment selection, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years of progressive utility-scale PV engineering experience.
• Experience with energy modeling, equipment selection, and site layout.
• Travel domestically and internationally 5–15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead Solar Engineering SME for multiple internal departments.
• Resolve complex technical issues with clients, developers, and subcontractors.
• Drafts and approves contracts, exhibits, and technical documents.
• Analyze plant performance using SCADA and data to identify underperformance.
