Job summary

New Energy Equity is seeking a Solar O&M Technician Level 2 to advance field inspections, preventative maintenance, and core system troubleshooting. You’ll work independently in high-voltage environments, guide junior technicians on-site, and follow a clear development pathway toward Technician III.

Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $95,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits and a focus on safety, training, and growth within a dynamic renewable energy team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in solar or related electrical field.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• FAA Part 107 familiarity and OSHA NFPA70e preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and perform hazardous energy control tasks.
• Conduct advanced inspections and preventative maintenance on solar systems.
• Troubleshoot 600Vac and 1500Vdc systems independently.
• Document inspections and repairs with detailed reports.
• Mentor junior technicians on-site and support training.
• Stay current with industry safety updates and technologies.
