Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Lead Installer to join our solar installation team in Des Plaines, IL. You will guide a crew through residential solar installations, coordinate equipment and materials, and ensure safety and quality on every project. You’ll participate in training and potentially act as Foreperson when needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and solar installation experience. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required, with travel up to 5% as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous solar installation experience required.
• Equivalent construction or military experience may be considered.
• Must maintain a clean driving record and be able to pass a driving background check.
• Must be 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review inventory at loading dock to ensure crew truck is stocked.
• Layout and assemble solar modules, mounts, electrical equipment and tools.
• Apply weather sealing to roofing structure and supports.
• Assemble racking, modules, panels and supports per project plan.
• Maintain a clean, orderly job site and perform site clean up.
• Ensure personal, crew and site safety at all times.
• Participate in mandatory training on products, installation methods and safety.
• Lead crew through safe, efficient installations; provide leadership and support.
